ROLES FOR ELECTION DAY VOLUNTEERS
Polling Place Teams:
At designated polling places:
- Hand out Andy’s Literature and politely ask voters to vote for “Andrew Toy” “Help our City with a new face for change, Push # 84 for Andrew Toy for City Council. Toy’s 4 us!”
- If you have a poll watcher certificate, keep taps on voter count. Report the voting turnout at your polling place out to Election Day Center. The certificate allows you to enter the polling place to ask the count.
We would like to have the designated polling places covered with two of Andy’s supporters throughout the time the polls are open.
Mobile Teams:
Groups of Andy’s supporters are needed who can move around the city during day to show Andy’s name by holding signs, give out literature and remind people to vote. Some of these groups will follow Andy around to demonstrate his support at any “media” stops during Election Day.
Support Teams:
Groups of Andy’s supporter who will supply the polling place supporter with supplies of literature, signs and food throughout the day. Also who will able to help deploy polling place supporter if needed.
Communication Teams:
Groups of supporters who can make phone calls through out the day to remind (strongly) for people to “get out to vote.” Strong voter turn out in certain areas of the city will be good for Andy.
A group who can answer calls at our election day Field Operations Center--they will be the connections between the Polling Place Teams, Mobile Teams and the Support Teams.
